- Oktoberfest

Of course this event would be the first one in this list. Between late September and early October this festival is held once in every year. It continues almost for 200 years by now. Beers and sausages go like hot cakes in this festival.

It is an enjoyable and funny festival as well as being a very traditional one, therefore clothing special for Bavaria regions are to be worn. Traditional music, dances and shows are also typical for this festival.

- Día de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos, meaning Day of the Dead, first scares a little with its name however this is a special Mexican festival which brings families and relatives together.

They create special shrines and make skulls out of sugar. Also, favorite meals of the dead ones are put to their graves.

- International Festival of the Sahara

The festival is organized in Douz town of Tunisia. There are many shows to be seen such as traditional Bedouin weddings, dance shows, camel race and handmade art events…

- Halloween

Halloween strikes as one of the most extraordinary festivals of this list. This festival is celebrated mostly in the Christian population of the world. Scary objects, interesting costumes and make ups are some parts of this festival.

- Phuket Vegetarian Festival

According to the Moon Calendar, this festival is celebrated in the 9th month and takes 9 days. It is organized around 6 Chinese temples which are located in Phuket. The purpose of this festival lies under the belief which says not consuming meat is good for conscience and body.

- Tubingen Duck Race

This event is held in a small town near Stuttgart. It is all about putting the plastic ducks on the waters and making them race. Perhaps it is not an event to change your all travel route and make you come to Stuttgart, but if you happen to be in Stuttgart already, you might like to take a look.

- The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

This balloon festival is held in Rio Grande Valley. Everything started in 1972 with only 13 balloons. As for today, there are 750 winner balloons joining among the thousands of them.

- Diwali

There is no doubt, Diwali is the most attractive one in this list. This is the event organized in India. According to Indian Calendar, the darkest night is chosen for this event. There are symbols of ignorance, wisdom, hope as well as hopelessness in this event.

Everybody cleans their houses before the festival. During the festival gaslight chandeliers are to be burnt, colorful sands and fireworks also amaze people visually.
