Getting paid to gaze at the stunning night sky might just be the ultimate dream job.

If staring up at the night sky is something you romanticise about doing then this might be the job for you.
The Artic Snow Hotel in Finland is searching for the ideal candidate to fill a coveted role – Northern Lights Spotter.
The hotel made of snow and ice is looking to hire an Aurora Borealis monitor.
Yup. They’re advertising a job that mostly involves looking at one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world.
Key requirements for the three to six-month job include being able to speak English and, crucially, stay awake through the night in order to alert people when the Northern Lights are visible.

The unique job offers free accommodation at the stunning hotel for the duration of the work.
But it’s not all light work; the chosen candidate will have to analyse weather data to predict when the Aurora Borealis can be seen in the night skies.
The successful candidate will also have to alert guests when the lights do appear so they can go out and take a look.
They’ll also need to help out with the hotel’s Aurora Alarm Service, which gently wakes up guests when the Northern Lights appear.
You have until September 11 to apply (and get your winter wardrobe ready!) but at this stage we are not sure how much it pays…
