Even kangaroos enjoy frolicking in the surf, much to the surprise and delight of beachgoers at Angourie Beach in New South Wales, Australia, where “Skippy” made quite a splash.
Kelly Beckwith of Angourie, Yamba, captured the above video of a kangaroo she nicknamed Skippy the Beach Kangaroo and posted it on Instagram, writing it was “just casually playing in the waves. Hello Straya!”
UPI reported that Beckwith posted a second video showing the kangaroo a short time later hopping past her house.
“Just call me the kangaroo whisperer,” she wrote. “I can’t keep them away! Skippy stalked me to my house!”
In a you tube post he says:
There’s nothing better than a morning hop along a tranquil beach. A kangaroo was filmed bouncing along the sands at Angourie Beach on the New South Wales coast on July 29, much to the delight of the small number of people looking on. Kelly Beckwith caught the moment on camera and posted it on Instagram. “Skippy the ‘beach’ kangaroo just casually playing in the waves. Hello Straya!” she wrote.
