We all want the best footage from our holidays and honeymoons so why not set a Hollywood cameraman to the task?
Luxury travel agent Black Tomato has just launched a new service dubbed 'Drone the World', which sends an expert cameraman to accompany guests on their tailor-made voyages.
Filmmaker Tim Browning has worked on the set of countless big-budget blockbusters - Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Skyfall, Spectre – and now you could have him document your next trip to Iceland – via drone.
Browning is not the only cameraman available, the company has amassed a network of professional drone cameramen and artistic directors who have worked on Blockbusters, as well as documentaries for the BBC and National Geographic.
"We find that working with Tim, and other drone cameramen, really adds an extra dimension to clients' travel experiences," Tom Marchant, co-founder of Black Tomato, told Bloomberg.
So, what it will cost you? At least $7000 (£4000) that’s the starting price per person for a weekend trip – including flights and accommodation.
Guests can choose any location they want and the cameramen can either accompany guests for part or all of their trip.
Before the trip, guests have a pre-trip consultation with their drone cameraman and editor to outline exactly what they want to capture.
Previous drone packages have taken guests to Myanmar, Iceland and Mongolia.
Marchant says: “We’ve been seeing the rise of technology playing an important role in our tailor-made offerings, and in clients wanting to professionally capture their travels.”
Travel videos are hardly a new concept, as anyone with grainy, bumpy footage of his or her parents begging them to smile can attest. Drone videos, on the other hand, started to take off late last year, when ski resorts began one-upping the de rigeur GoPro video with offers to shoot killer runs from the sky.
But having a fully-fledged feature film producer shoot your travels takes the trend to another level.
