You could soon sleep over at the Sydney Opera House

You could have the chance to sleep under the sails of Sydney’s iconic Opera House if plans are approved.
Sydney Opera House Trust has lodged a proposal with the NSW government to host sleepovers in various rooms.
Built in 1973 by architect Jørn Utzon, the Opera House “wants to provide a unique opportunity for the community to experience the iconic Sydney Opera House in new and innovative ways," the Department of Planning and Environment said in a statement.
If approved, the Opera House will offer five guests up to two nights' accommodation five times per year as well as 100 guests two nights' accommodation once a year.
The proposal has asked to convert a few of the music theatre’s rooms and spaces into the temporary sleeping areas where mattresses, bedding, bedside tables, lighting and couches would be provided.
Guests would arrive in the evening for cocktails and dinner, followed by a night show and the sleepover.
he following morning they would have breakfast with the Harbour Bridge right outside their window and get the chance to take centre stage before the experience comes to a close.
The sleepover would occupy six locations: The Board Room, Utzon Room, Joan Sutherland Theatre Northern Foyers, Joan Sutherland Theatre Southern Foyer, Concert Hall Northern Foyers and Concert Hall South Foyers.
he Trust has also asked the public what they think about the unique experience. If you’re a fan of the idea, you have until October 24 to voice your opinion
So if you planned to go Sydney and stay in a good hotel some check this link.
